Perched on a private clifftop with panoramic views over the old town of Dubrovnik, it’s easy to see why legendary director Francis Ford Coppola chose this seafront city hideaway as his summer home away from home. Original wood floors and timber beams tell of a storied past. The remains of a 13th-century chapel now forms two walls of the meditation room, and the home was also the former residence of archaeologist Sir Arthur Evans.

Today, the property has undergone extensive renovations to include 3 en-suite bedrooms with open fireplaces, marble bathrooms and a free-standing tub. The walls are adorned with antiques and artwork from celebrated Croatian artists. Five terraces offer different vantage points over the Medieval city walls, with an outdoor pool with an ‘active swimming’ jet and open grill, while a private, cliffside beach with loungers is accessible via a staircase for easy access to the sea.
