City Commission Meeting Recap
The City Commission of Eudora held its regular, semimonthly meetings on Monday, March 13th, and Monday, March 27th at City Hall.
- Adopted Ordinance 1135 to annex the tract of land located at 2260 N 1400 Rd into the City of Eudora.
- Awarded Harbour Construction Inc. the 2023 Chip Seal Program.
- Entered into negotiations with the 701 Group for the property located at 840 Main Street.
- Approved a proclamation declaring April as National Arbor Month and April 28, 2023 as National Arbor Day.
- Approved a proclamation declaring April as National Safe Digging Month.

Scouting for Food Drive
Eudora Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and other organizations are holding their 36th annual food drive. The groups will be delivering flyers to each home in Eudora with the details of the drive. The food pickup date will begin after 9:15 AM on Saturday, April 1. All food donated will be taken to the Eudora Food Pantry.

Eudora Friday and Fun Fellowship
Seniors, mark your calendars!
The next Friday and Fun Fellowship will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the Eudora Community Center. Stu Moeckel, the Eudora School’s superintendent, will be our guest speaker. He will be talking about the school bond issue. Mark your calendars and bring your favorite snack or dessert.
Don’t forget to come to the “Fundamentals of Estate Planning” meeting on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the Eudora Community Center, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Robert Ramsdell will be presenting and will answer questions about estate planning. Attend and learn, then create a plan that is right for you.

County Community Emergency Response
Team Training
Douglas County Emergency Management is offering Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training from April 14 - April 16. The training course includes information on Disaster Preparedness, Fire Safety, Medical Operations, Light Search and Rescue, Terrorism, Team Organization, and other related safety areas.
At the conclusion of the training, you may register to become a CERT Volunteer, or you may just take this training for educational purposes. For more information and to sign up for the training, please click here.

Utility Account Credit
Please be advised that you may notice credit on your account for this month's bill. During an audit of the City's utility billing, it was found that some residents were overcharged for utility billing. The residents who were overcharged are receiving credit on their account from the City equivalent to the amount they overpaid.
