Pickleball Tours (Promoting the Movement of Travel)

Vacation Deprivation

Hello Everyone,
It’s been so long since my last communication!  I hope you all were able to find places keep up with your games during the winter months. I’m excited for some spring weather and getting back outside again.
As always, I would love to hear from you about any destinations, fun pickleball experiences, and just anything else pickleball related.  This is the official roll out of the newly-designed website so head on over and message directly to set up a call for a vacation destination consultation.

Revenge Travel:

That’s what people are calling this current surge in desire for people to get back to old travel habits, rediscover their sea legs and flex their travel muscle memory.
However, did you know that Americans only take roughly 11 days of vacation per year? That’s right, it’s the least amount of any working adult in the developed world! People in the US carry the most unlimited PTO days of any country.
This was from a study from Expedia to research the topic of vacation deprivation. The study also highlights when we do take time off to travel, it’s not quality.  Often, we end up working online to keep pace so that we’re not buried with emails when we return. So, we end up stressed when we’re on vacation, which we took to unplug, de stress, and unwind in the first place.
QUICK TIP: Did you know the best ways to get more time off are during the negotiating process for new employment and during your performance reviews? An extra week is usually a safe bet and just be sure to get it in writing.
For many people that take a proper vacation and manage to fully detach, limit work, and enjoy the time off, they describe feeling like a completely different person, more present, and more focused, having more creativity. If you add in the benefits that come with movement and being active in nature, it gets even better. For example, people notice reduced blood pressure, lower cortisol levels, better sleep, and clearer thinking.

This is a timely discussion given the current economic climate of inflation, talk of recession and seeing a reduction in our buying power, investments, and home values. Maybe you’re putting that trip on hold as your travel budget has been eviscerated. But it’s important to keep our eyes on the prize and prioritize health first. The good news is that you don’t have to go too far, leave the country, or spend a big chunk of change to do it!
Don't Wait, Set the Date & Feel Great:

Now that we have that sorted out, it’s time to get something on the calendar and start building out your portfolio of experiences. Just having a set date alone will give you some of those health benefits mentioned above. So where will you go? Maybe you have a special event or milestone coming up and you would like to celebrate with a unique excursion. What was your most memorable trip and why?  What made it special?  Who were you with, what did you do?  How can we recreate that experience?
Maybe you prefer the idea of giving back through some type of voluntourism and leaving a place better off than when you arrived? Travel has a different meaning for everyone, and I have been promoting the inspiration that comes with it for some time now.

After hearing from so many of my students that after a long career of sitting or just being sedentary in general for too long, they sought out pickleball as way to learn how to move again.
My aim with Pickleball Tours is to create experiences that are fully customized and curated around you. The customer is always right, right?  So then, let’s put the pickleball in your court and allow you to have the control.
Through a 20-minute discovery consultation that you can book below, we can determine the right group chemistry and dynamic, your budget and timing, preferred destination, and of course how much pickleball you would like.
Final Thoughts

Below is a link to some resort ideas to spark your thinking.
Additionally, there are only a few remaining cabins available on a European Danube River Cruise from Budapest to Oktoberfest later this year. There are two new pickleball courts on board, so we can’t wait to get you signed up.
