Service will also be available via Zoom for anyone who needs/prefers to worship from home. Fellowship will be held following the service; please join us!

There were a couple of errors on the bulletin sent in the update earlier today. A corrected copy can be found below.

Coming Up
Coming Summer 2023

Are you making plans for summer? Check out the many summer opportunities for all ages at our nearest ELCA camp: Luther Heights in the beautiful Sawtooth Mountains of central Idaho. Registration is now open. Check out the Luther Heights website below for dates. Camp is not just for kids and teens - there's women's retreats, men's retreats, family camp, grand camp, and more. If you know of a child that needs financial support to go to camp, please discuss with Pastor Emily (confidentially, of course). Also, if you'd like to serve camp in the kitchen or as a medical volunteer for a few days / weeks, your skills and time are needed!

 Church Bags

Faith Formation is excited to begin offering “Church Bags” to the younger worshippers in our community.  A church bag is a bag containing age-appropriate worship resources, so young people can participate more fully in the worship service.  We would like for regular attenders’ church bags to be personalized, then they will be available on the lower rack of new coat hooks in the entryway.  We will provide the opportunity for your young person to personalize their church bag on Sunday, March 19, during the worship service.  We are inviting and encouraging all young worshippers to attend that day with their adult caregiver.  If you and your young worshipper can’t make it on March 19, you can pick up a church bag and craft supplies to take home with you some other Sunday.  There will also be opportunities to personalize church bags during fellowship times, date TBD.  Questions at be directed to the #faithformation channel on the ends PoP Slack workspace, or to any Faith Formation Team member (Holden Potter, Sandra Weingart, Karen Anderson, Lucas Anderson, Karin deJonge-Kannan, or Cary Youmans).
Every Season is Compost Season

It may not seem like it, or look like it outside, but yes, it is still (and always is) composting season. We are still collecting and processing compost for the upcoming planting season. So, if you are pausing your collecting and/or bringing in your green waste to the bins, please, bring it on! Buckets are still available if you haven’t gotten one already or mistakenly returned yours. As a reminder, please see attached for helpful composting tips..

Health Safety Procedure

Per the recommendation of the CDC and the Bear River Health Department, Prince of Peace will resume strongly recommending masking while indoors, including during worship. As numbers of not only coronavirus cases, but also flu and RSV infections rise, this is one small thing that we can do to live our calling to care for the neighbor. We will not require that masks be worn as we believe that this is a decision to be made by individuals and families, but for the foreseeable future, we will strongly recommend that masks be worn during worship and at all times within our building.
