President’s Message

Thank you to everyone who is supporting the WSST!

Our year is set with guest and LIVE workshops. I hope you will join us for an exciting year in watercolor.

On a personal note, I am pleased to announce the premier of my new ONLINE COURSE - "The Fundamentals of Sketching & Drawing in Watercolor". I will be available on April 3rd at 10am CST for my YouTube Premier Video Launch.

The course will be available to our members and the public tomorrow! You will have an exclusive link to my course HERE.

I am pleased to announce that we have Ari De Goes, Jr. judging our 53rd Members Exhibition this year. We will open submissions to our members show on June 1st 2023.

Upcoming Local (LIVE and IN PERSON) Workshops 2023

We have a number of exciting watercolor workshops to announce this year as well as continuing our Monthly guest workshops on Zoom through the WSST.

The WSST has been working closely with the Rockport Center for the Arts and the Port Aransas Art Center to bring you some quality watercolor workshops this year!

Tina Bohlman, Glenn Cernosek, Lynn Ferris and Al Kline will be offering workshops through the Rockport Center for the Arts this year!

Ari De Goes Jr. will travel to Rockport from Brazil to give a 3 day watercolor workshop on August 3rd-5th, 2023. Registration can be found below or REGISTER HERE!

Vladislav Yeliseyev will also give a 3 day workshop in December at the Port Aransas Art Center. Registration is already open on our website for this workshop!

We are happy to bring these quality workshops to South Texas!

ZOOM Local and PROFESSIONAL GUEST Workshops 2023

We have a wonderfully talented list of guest artists scheduled to teach us again this year!

Guest workshops are just $15 for members!

Michael Reardon, Shelley Prior, Herman Pekel and Gordon Jones will return as guest artists. Dhruba Mazumder will also join us on July 16th, 2023 for a guest zoom workshop! I’m also pleased to announce that Tim Saternow will join this esteemed group as our guest professional presenter in November 2023!

Sandra Aguilar from Spain will share her technique and demonstrate her approach to watercolor painting in May! We are excited to add Sandra to this year’s list of guest artists.
