Agape Farm - Agriculture Interns
Dear Friends:

Did you know that approximately 750 million African subsistence farmers live undernourished and unable to yield enough crops for their families? Samuel the Farm Manager for ACFD Agape Training Center and Farm has taken 9 students through a 12-week crop and animal program that is proven to have a ripple effect like:

👨🏿‍👩🏿‍👦🏿 Yeilding enough crops to sustain them and their families.
🛖Sharing these techniques with their villages to minimize malnutrition for everyone.
💲A way to make an income and be self-sustainable.
🌱Science based farming that is better for the soil and the planet.
🌞 Ensuring a brighter future for generations to come and put an end to the cycle of poverty.

Thank you to our Hope 2 One Life supporters for helping these individuals and making a lasting impact!!!

Samuel the Farm Manager at the ACFD Agape Training Center and Farm, has been training 9 students in farming and livestock techniques that will help them, their families, and their villages live sustainably without malnutrition plaguing their future.

And the future is certainly looking brighter because of your support🌞. But the hope and ambition doesn't stop here, Samuel wants to reach every corner of Uganda and EVERY single life that is struggling to find their next meal:

"All my intention is to make our farm a learning center for both the students and the local communities where they can get knowledge. I will be proud at the end if our farm becomes a center of learning and sustainability." -Samuel (The BEST Farm Manager)

A big thank you for your support. If you ever wonder if it makes a difference we want these photos to display what we see and know that it most certainly does. Thank you again for your generosity from the volunteers of Hope 2 One Life and Samuel himself. 🤗

The students 12 week work plan started off with planting from the nursery bed using drip irrigation and learning how to make natural pesticides. They are growing tomatoes, cabbages, sumawiki and onions with the Farming Gods Way technique.
They also paid forward to the local community farmers by spending a day visiting their homes teaching about farming and livestock.

Samuel reports, « My intern students did amazing thing during the presentation and they explained the exact thing I taught them. Our farm was selected among the best place for intern. »  Well done Samuel!
They interns learning Farming God’s Way
At Hope 2 One Life we strongly believe in self-sustainable programs that encourage individuals to feel empowered and know that they can play a part in their future despite the circumstances they were born into.🌞 Check out these photos taken by Samuel the farm manager at the ACFD Agape Training Center and Farm teaching students hands-on how to take care of livestock, all made possible by your support! 🌱🐐
Two mama pigs are pregnant and due to deliver their litter of piglets in a few months. Yay!!  They are healthy and even eating the hydroponic maize greens and sumawiki the interns grew for additional nutritious food.

Samuel enjoys teaching the interns about catfish and tilapia. They have undertaken a big project to dig out the mud and join two of the ponds together to prevent flooding. They have had success in selling fish locally, as well as grain grinding to help sustain the farm, pay workers and animal feed etc. Samuel is working very hard to achieve this. He is teaching how to make the animal feed formulations as well, which is much more cost effective.

Samuel’s goal and need for further requirements for learning with future interns are materials to build a simple greenhouse, chicken coop and milk cow shelter. Any gift toward this goal is greatly appreciated. Click the donate button below and choose the agriculture fund designation. Thank you!!
WORLD WATER DAY 2023
ACCELERATING CHANGE
This World Water Day is about accelerating change to solve the water and sanitation crisis.
And because water affects us all, we need everyone to take action.

You and your family, school and community can make a difference by changing the way you use, consume and manage water in your lives.
The UN 2023 Water Conference – the first event of its kind for nearly 50 years, is a once-in-a-generation moment for the world to unite around water.
Play your part. Do what you can.

LEARN
Right now, we are seriously off-track to meet Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.
Billions of people and countless schools, businesses, healthcare centres, farms and factories don’t have the safe water and toilets they need.
To accelerate change, we need more action.  Check out the action list to learn more.

ACT

Be the change you want to see in the world.

In the ancient story, the hummingbird carries drops of water to put out a great fire. She was doing everything she could.

Update on the Solar Water project Campaign
Approximately $25,000 of $33,000 has been raised.

Thank you for your prayers and support. God bless you!
WHAT a DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE in these peoples lives. Words cannot express our gratitude. The Ugandans always convey how grateful they are and send their greetings and prayers to all of you. May you be richly blessed.
