I am writing to share some difficult news. Andy and Cath Taylor came to Pierrepont on Thursday, and shared with the team the news that the Ellel Executive Leadership have decided that Pierrepont will close as an Ellel Centre towards the end of this year.
I’m sure you can understand that this news has not been easy for the team, and I know that many of you, especially those who have faithfully been ministering with us for many years, will also be upset by the news.
Below you will find a link to a letter that Andy Taylor wrote on behalf of the Executive Leadership. This will be sent to the wider database shortly, but we wanted the Pierrepont ministry team to hear the news before that happens, hence this email today. Andy and Cath also want to add their thanks to the ministry team, and have sent the following message.
Dear Pierrepont Ministry Team,
We wanted to just say how much we are thinking and praying for you all at this time. You are an amazing group of people who have served and are serving the Lord so faithfully at Pierrepont. We understand that this news will be really difficult to hear and we know how special Pierrepont is to you as a place where you serve Him and have personally encountered Him also. We want to assure you that we have not taken this decision lightly, or quickly, and that before God we wholeheartedly believe as an Exec that we are following the Lord’s pathway. This gives us confidence that, even though it is tough to walk through, the Lord will be with each person affected and will lead them on into His plans for them. We will also be in touch in May to let you know of opportunities to carry on ministering with Ellel by joining the ministry teams at other centres if you want to and are able to do that.
We are committed to helping the team at Pierrepont as we walk through this season and will support Morna and the leaders as much as possible.

As a leadership team at Pierrepont, we want to ‘finish well’. A new NETS school starts in 3 weeks, and we are praying that God will bring everyone he wants onto this last NETS – whether Stage 1 or Stage 3. Maybe that might be you! Maybe you know someone who has talked about doing NETS but has put it off. Or maybe you feel you would like to help sponsor someone else who has already applied but doesn’t have the finances. If you want to talk to someone about NETS please contact netsadmin@ellel.org.
We still have a full programme for the next 6 months, including two Jesus Heals days (May 27th and August 11th), Healing Retreats and PMAs. I hope many of you will be able to come and help to minister on those days, so that, as we finish, there will still be fruit pouring into the lives of those Jesus came to set free.
Despite the upset and shock of this news, there is a growing sense amongst our team that God is going to do something new and exciting here at Pierrepont. Please join us in praying that God will lead us through this season and into the next, and that Pierrepont will continue to be ‘one of God’s addresses’.
