The month of March is flying by and Spring is in the air at O'Brien Guitars! So far this month two students have built their guitars with me in one on one private classes. Two beautiful looking and sounding guitars are now headed home with these students and there is still one more student coming to build his guitar with me this month.
Also in March, I gave my Virtual Voicing class over three class sessions. Students from as far away as Ireland tuned in every Sunday morning at 8AM Mountain time for a two hour class on how to voice an acoustic guitar.
This is a class I give only once a year and really helps lower the learning curve when it comes to crafting the sound you want from the guitar you are making.
The month is not over yet. There is still one more student coming at the end of March to build his guitar.
I also have another Virtual class I am offering. This one on my French polish method.
Upcoming Virtual classes: French polish. This class is interactive and allows students to see what I am doing at my bench as I work. All you need is a computer with a camera and mic to participate. In the Virtual French polish class students learn my modern approach to French polishing that allows one to finish a guitar in as little as a day or two. I also demonstrate several products and methods for pore filling during the surface prep stage. This year's class dates are April 16, 23 and 30 at 8:00AM MT. Each class session is approximately two hours and there will be homework assignments to be completed before the next class. .
