Unmasking and staying true to self

For 21 days in a row, Dora Kamau’s meditation Free to Be You spoke to me. How often do we spend our lives believing and being someone we’re not? How often do we wear a mask to be liked, loved, and wanted?

I made an Instagram reel quoting Dora’s work paired with “Shining Through (True Colors) by Fredro. She thanked me for creating it. I thanked her for being an inspiration. It’s the little big moments that remind me I’m right where I need to be.

It takes courage.

Courage is not the absence of fear. Rather, courage is sometimes the kid glove, a warm blanket covering, perhaps comforting fear that says "go...do it... be it anyway"

What's to hide about the someone or somebody you want to be? What's it to you or anyone else?

To be infinitely you is a power tool. Have the audacity to be you.

Continue to rise dear ones. Rise with rest, wonder, and the audacity to simply be you.
