Need Paper Copies?
To minimize our ecological footprint, we will only be sending hard copies of our GBM minutes, presentations, annual reports, etc. to band members who register to receive them. To request paper copies be mailed to you, please use the link below to fill out the form. As usual, digital copies will still be sent via email and accessible for download in the members-only section of our website.
Please be aware that you will only need to complete the HARD COPY sign-up process once. Once you have signed up, you will receive them via mail until you decide to cancel.

Honoring the Youth Round Dance

Tax Laws Meeting
Community Tax Laws Information Meeting is April 4. This meeting is to provide membership information on the proposed 2023 TteS Property Tax and TteS Property Assessment Laws during the representation period as per the Section 6 notice. Written representations can be sent to the tax team until April 17, 2023.

Elders Input Needed!
The Thompson-Nicola Conservation Collaborative invites Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc Elders to join them by participating in and providing input on critical areas used within the Thompson Nicola region. By adding your knowledge of current and past land use and occupation on physical maps, they will identify important Indigenous use areas and their overlap with areas of high carbon storage within the Thompson Nicola region, supporting increased land conservation and protection.

Call Out To Artists
The Residential School Monument Planning Group at Splatsin is calling for submissions for the design and construction of a large-scale sculptural monument to commemorate those Splatsin members who attended Residential Schools. A group led by Survivors has been meeting to plan the monument to commemorate those Splatsin members that attended Residential Schools. So far, 146 members have been identified; 46 of that number are still living today. The project will be located at Splatsin, in the southern interior of British Columbia, near Enderby, BC. Deadline for submissions is March 31, 2023

Logo Contest
The BC Assembly of First Nations and Ecotrust Canada's Climate Innovation team have partnered to host a logo design competition for First Nations youth aged 15-30. The winner of the competition will receive $5,000 and be featured on the First Nations Carbon Toolkit website. The contest closes April 15, 2023 at midnight.

Exciting news! The registration deadline for athletes to register for the Team BC NAIG "Scorecard Sports" has been extended to April 2, 2023! For these sports, the athlete competes in events, receives a result that they can then upload to their Team BC profile in the registration system.

THIS NOTICE is given pursuant to section 6 of the First Nations Fiscal Management Act (the “FMA”). Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc (the “First Nation”) proposes to enact the Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc Property Assessment Law 2023 and the Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc Property Taxation Law 2023 (together, the “Proposed Laws”) and repeal the Kamloops Indian Band Property Assessment Law, 2008, as amended and the Kamloops Indian Band Property Taxation Law, 2008, as amended.
