Michigan Primary Care Association
2023 Legislative Forum

Registration is Ongoing; Deadline: March 24

Tuesday, April 11; 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Lansing, Mich.

Background and Overview

On April 11, the Michigan Primary Care Association will be hosting its annual State Legislative Forum in-person in Lansing. This is a great opportunity for health centers to share their compelling mission and challenges, and discuss key policy priorities with legislators. With a large group of new state legislators taking office this year, it’s a critical time to build relationships with legislators, some of which will be spending the next decade in Lansing.

Registration

MPCA Legislative Forum Prep Session
During the prep session we’ll cover what you can expect during Legislative Forum and our state policy priorities for the year. You do not need to separately register for the Legislative Forum Prep Session. If you register to participate in the event, Zoom login information for the Prep Session will be emailed to you in advance of the session.

MPCA Advocacy Leads Meeting (Advocacy Leads Only)
MPCA’s Government Affairs and Advocacy staff will be hosting a meeting with Advocacy Leads from all member organizations statewide to support advocacy organizing and grassroots advocacy engagement in your organization. The meeting will include conversations on state and federal advocacy strategy, training and resource sharing and development, and intentional peer connections. Each member organization’s designated advocacy lead is encouraged to attend and the meeting will be held at MPCA’s headquarters in Lansing. You can indicate you are planning to attend the Advocacy Leads meeting in your Legislative Forum registration.
