Holy Week Worship

Palm Sunday, April 2, will be a joyous service to recall the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem.  As we remember how the city welcomed the Savior, we welcome Him into our church and our hearts in a joyous celebration of praise and worship.

Maundy Thursday, April 6, at 7:00PM, we’ll gather in the upper room to hear the words of institution and be a part of the Last Supper of our Savior Jesus Christ and then gather together at the table of grace and life which our Savior has set for us.

Good Friday – April 7 noon and 7pm. In words, prayers, songs and brief messages, we’ll gather beneath the cross to witness the innocent, bitter suffering and death of our Lord, Jesus, The Christ to prepare our hearts to return on Easter Sunday anxiously waiting to hear the good news of the resurrection. Adult Choir will be bringing special music to our 7:00PM worship.

Easter Celebration Worship April 9 will begin in the Sanctuary with 8:00AM and 11:00AM worship services, with musical offerings by the Adult Choir and Handbells at the 8:00AM service.  Easter Breakfast will be served from 9am-10:30am and our Egg Hunt for children is at 10am (everyone participating should gather in the gym before 10am - we'll start promptly).  Remember to extend invitations to family, friends, and neighbors.  The Praise Band will be leading the 11:00AM service. Come and join the joyous celebration of the resurrection of our Savior and King!  Christ is Risen! Alleluia!  He is Risen!  Indeed!
Invite someone to Celebrate Easter with us!

Invitations, if you are like most people, you've received a few in your lifetime to events like birthdays, weddings, milestones in someone's life, and many other reasons for celebration.  This year's Easter invite is pretty much like every year's.  It is designed for you and me to hand, mail, or email to people we know and care about with the hope, the aim, the intent, and our prayer that they'll accept your invitation and join you in worship on Easter Sunday. Take as many as you will pass out.  Before you invite, pray. After you pray, don't delay.  Hand it to them in person.  Drop it in the mail or send them an invite by email.  Get at it today.

May the LORD bless your inviting efforts in Jesus' name. Amen.
Join us from 5:30-6:45pm for a delicious dinner of baked roasted chicken breast, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, salad, and dessert.  (This is your last chance for a quick, easy, mid-week meal with your church family for a while.  Next week will be Holy Week and we will not be serving dinner.)
No, it's not too early to be thinking about Easter breakfast!  It is only three weeks away and those weeks will fly by!

Please join us for this delightful time of celebration, reconnecting, and fellowship!  And, yes, it takes a lot of planning and help.  If you'll be in town, please join us!  We'll look forward to seeing you, whether or not you can help, we really want you to come celebrate with us!

The
Men of Faith will be preparing and serving breakfast this year.  Thank you, guys!  (If you'd already signed up either to help or to supply, thanks, but take a break and enjoy the morning.)

If you have questions, please reach out to Gary Schleicher.
While you're out shopping, please throw a bag (or three) of individually-wrapped candies in your basket and then bring them to church to bless our children on Easter morning!

Note:
EASTER CANDY is 33% off Friday, Saturday and Sunday only with digital coupon at Kroger!

Faith's Comfort Dog Ministry received a beautiful hand-sewn gift from a supporter of, not only Hope's ministry, but also every Comfort Dog Ministry across the country.  This beloved lady sews blankets, banners and bandanas and personalizes them for each individual Comfort Dog.  We are so blessed to have such support!
Sunday Morning Coffee Fellowship
needs some good help

Don't you enjoy getting together on Sunday mornings, having a little treat to eat with your cup of coffee or tea?  We need more people to sign up to bring treats to share!  We need two people each Sunday - you may either make something in your kitchen or pick up something of your choice.  You've been there - you know the routine!  Treats need to be delivered by 9am to the cafeteria, in time for the hosts to set up the set them out.  (If no one signs up, no treats ...)  The signup sheet is on the table on Sunday mornings - check it out.

Speaking of hosts (who for now are Pauline Hines and Muriel Pfaff, thank you!) who get the coffee brewing and make a nice display for us, we could use more help with that, too!  Every now and then, they go visit family and need someone to cover for them.  They set up the coffee on Saturday, so all one needs to do on Sunday is get it brewing, set out the treats, and clean up afterwards.  If you're interested, speak with one of them on Sunday morning - they'd be more than happy to convince you to sign up to help or answer your questions!
Mission of the Month - March, April & May
First Care Women’s Clinic

First Care Women’s Clinic is an evangelical Christian non-profit organization that was established to reduce abortion by giving the support and information that people need to choose life.

We will be collecting items for the Baby Boutique. There is a basket in the school lobby for donations as well as the church narthex.

The Baby Boutique supports women who have chosen life by providing practical assistance. Clients who attend our Parenting and Prenatal Classes are able to participate in a class baby-shower where they receive new items to help with the first months of motherhood. Through a variety of ongoing classes, mothers earn “points” and are able to use them to shop the boutique. All items provided are free.
