Join We Need Diverse Books for a Rise Up Professional Development Panel, Entrepreneurship in Publishing: How to Start Your Own Venture! on its new date of March 28 at 7:30 pm ET; live-streamed to the WNDB YouTube channel.

We will be talking about how to start your own publishing business with our stellar panelists Dhonielle Clayton, president and founder of Cake Creative and Electric Postcard Entertainment; Leah Koch, one of the owners of The Ripped Bodice bookstore; and BrocheAroe Fabian, owner of River Dog Book Co., a novel model independent bookstore.

This panel will cover topics such as how to figure out if starting your own venture is the right path for you, how to secure financial resources for your venture, how to build and maintain a workplace that supports marginalized staff, how to balance entrepreneurship with everything else that comes up in life, and more.

This panel will be moderated by Program Manager Alaina Lavoie.
