Assalaamu Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

The blessed month of Ramadan is quickly approaching, potentially beginning on March 23rd.

After a careful evaluation we have decided to prepare daily iftar meals at our mosque this Ramadan. The decision is made as an effort to reduce overall cost for the sponsors which was deemed quite high due to high iftar attendees' registration.
Cost per meal is calculated to be $5-$7. For 50 meals it will be from $250 to $350.
Sponsoring families (one or more families can be combined to sponsor a day of iftar cost) can donate any amount between $250 - $350 as per their convenience directly to the masjid InshaAllah.

You can donate online INTERAC e-TRANSFER through your financial institution using our email address Sarnia.Muslim.Association@gmail.com

We have setup the auto-deposit feature on the account so no security question or answer is required. Please indicate on the transfer if the funds are for Iftar2023. Your donation will be eligible to get 40% tax refund.

If you have further question, please feel free to contact Br. Hasan Zia at 226-349-0112

We are expecting a higher number of students this year and therefore request families to register for the sponsorship. Two families will be paired in case we have more then 30 volunteers IA.

The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. (2:185)

Jazakum Allah Khair.
