Happy Vernal Equinox Everyone!

It's also a time for a fecundity of the imagination!!!    As part of this year's spring cleanin I also need to update the group here on things!

  1. POCKET CHANGE!  There are a good few still left on the 2nd mold!  The new all metal pegs are impossible to break but there’s also that sleek base-free option that stands with just a peg like the original Duke!   (And for fun! (:-o CHECK OUT Pocket Change's sire line here! Duke in the center is almost 20 years old, Quartermeister almost 10! )Visit https://www.morgenkilbourn.com/shop to order either version

  1. Xlurpie and Wycked Wynd and Wycked Furyous (and a few others even):  We are trying to track down people for invoices, starting time payments (on Pocket I think), and shipping information.  If you ordered but now wonder  why you haven’t been getting billed or received anything, please contact us and we’ll resend or try a new email.  Everyone who has paid in full has been shipped a horse so contact Josie at kilbournstudiosinfo@gmail.com

  1. New Sculpt! I’ve been sharing –jokingly calling Jello shot because I posted him beside a jello box.  He definitely a fun fun spring clear ou t project, started 4 years ago!  A piaffing Iberian baroque horse who once again reminds me terribly of my boy Asher when he gets fired up and spins and gets prancy.  [Curio or venti scale I’m not going to lie I haven’t done the math yet ]

  1. And last but hardly least, this is a super cool opportunity!!! A WEEK LONG WORKSHOP, May 22nd to 26th, with me here in Central NC is filling! Spaces are limited!  ~ ~ ~  SIGNUP LINK HERE  ~ ~ ~
  • Real horse models, virtual anatomy and video  techniques to capture all the angles accurately
  • Tour the bronze foundry,
  • Work in the foundry’s massive sculptor workspace located nearby in a quaint pottery tourism town (it’s AMAZING AND HUGE! So open that we will be bringing a Dales pony in I hope one afternoon!).
  • Visit my farm for further live horse anatomical study work.
  • WORK IN YOUR OWN MEDIA, including 3D digital if you’d like.  Bring existing projects or start from scratch.
  • LOTS of 1:1 time. The reason it’s small is I prefer to teach one on one specific to where you’re at. I’m very hands off but teaching how to see
  • & Last night students get to be part of an art show with a reception party! Friday evening, May 26th the foundry will also be hosting a Equine Themed Gallery Show reception for all their clients in part of their sculpting space (flat and 3D work) and students are also welcomed to bring their own other work for this as well.  This is a really fun opportunity for horse artists I’m truly looking forward to doing this closer to my home!

Spring Cleaning Gearing Up! I have so very much going on in the background that will probably require me to unleash some resins in other ways to drum up funds.  It's been a YEAR already. lol  I'm looking a how to do that.  From micros to guest copies of certain things.  In the meantime though the hot-going-fast commodity is Pocket fer sure!   My plans for the curio might be unleashing small batches at first...  As the Wycked resin clean up is literally down to a handful, I'm remembering fondly how many self-casts I've done before and feeling the itch to make some molds again. ;)  We'll see.  But regardless I don't plan to be doing limited time editions anymore.  Limited quantities and very likely no more 150 to 200 type numbers to my editions.  It's complicated work for all the supporting partners I have in this game.  They've all been so wonderful and I do enjoy doing time payments so I'm not planning entirely on doing away with those.  But whewwww... straight buy it now buttons and immediate shipping sure appeals to me right now!  Soooooooo stay tuned for a LOT more of that I hope!! :)

And with that I'm going to sign off.  I've thrown plenty at folks for the moment!

May your budding projects take root and spring forth!!
-Morgen
