Pop-Up Hanami Recap!

Thank you everyone for coming to Pop-Up Hanami!

Last week UBC Ani held the biggest event in our club's history, and we are AMAZED with how the event turned out. Pop-Up Hanami has always been an "it would be amazing if we could do this" sort of idea, but our amazing events coordinator, executive team, and almost 100 volunteers behind the scenes have worked tirelessly to make this event a reality.

Originally, we thought that this event would draw maximum 500 people, so to see over ONE THOUSAND attendees show up was beyond amazing! The event wasn't without its hiccups, but we think that when everything was said and done, Pop-Up Hanami has been a huge success.

As for post-event stuff, please check out the Pop-Up Hanami photoalbum at ubcani.com/gallery!

Harumatsuri!

Harumatsuri is on March 25th!

Our friends over at Anime Evolution are putting on another event, Harumatsuri! Harumatsuri is made of the Japanese words for spring (haru, 春) and festival (matsuri, 祭り) and is held with a special focus on Japanese arts and culture. In addition to its themed elements, Harumatsuri offers many of Anime Evolution's traditional summer events on a smaller scale including panels, video, anime music videos, gaming, artists alley, and vendors.

Tickets will be $15 and can be purchased at the door. Cash, debit and credit (Visa or MasterCard) will be accepted.
