2022-2023 Louisiana State Deputy Award Preliminary Scores

Click here for the State Deputy Award spreadsheet updated through March 1. The only item not updated is the Seminarian Mission Fund Support.
Remember that this is not a competition among Councils to get the most points. Every Council is eligible to receive the State Deputy Award. Councils must score at least 1600 points to achieve the Award. The only requirements are to recruit at least one new member and score at least 1600 points.
The award criteria are listed here.
If your records show a different total number of points for your Council, please let me know and I will verify your point totals.

Safe Environment Compliance
For the council to be compliant, all of the following individuals must be compliant:
- Grand Knight: Complete the training.
- Program Director: Complete the training.
- Family Director: Complete the training and pass the background check.
- Community Director: Complete the training and pass the background check.
Other requirements:
The Family, Community and Program Directors must be three different individuals.
However, the Grand Knight can also be the Family, Community or Program Director. That is, the Grand Knight can be one of those three positions.
Failure to complete the training or failure to provide complete and accurate information authorizing the background screening within 30 days of the initial email notification may result in Supreme removing the individual as a director.
Personal, non-generic, email addresses are mandatory for each of the above individuals. You cannot share emails, usernames and passwords.
Safe environment training certifications and background checks from other organizations are NOT accepted by the Knights of Columbus.
The council must submit Form 185 and 365 to Supreme that include email addresses. Email is the only way the member gets his username, password, and registration to take the training.
Full compliance is required to earn the Star Council Award.
Knights of Columbus Policy
The Order expects that the Grand Knight and the Family and/or Community director be present at all activities sponsored by the council where minor children are present to ensure that all Safe Environment policies and procedures are followed.
All Knights of Columbus activities where minor children are present require at least one member who has been trained and background checked, and there should never be fewer than two fully trained members in attendance.

Online Membership Steps
- Check your Prospect Tab for any online members who might be interested in joining your council.
- Contact the Online Member.
- Determine his interest in joining your council.
- Have the council vote and approve the online member's transfer into your council.
- Have him complete his online or in-person Degree/Exemplification Ceremony.
- Confirm he completed his degree.
- Enter his ceremonial date on the Prospect Tab.
- Click the Transfer button.
- No Form 100 is required. Do not send a Form 100 to Supreme.
- Update his 2nd and 3rd Degree dates in Member Management.
