DSCBA is excited to announce that we will be offering our annual Communications Readiness Program (CRP) for a limited number of our members, ages 4-7

June 12 through July 20, 2023
John Baldwin Elementary School
Danville, CA

Communication Readiness Program (CRP) is a 6-week summer program for early elementary children aged 4 - 7 with complex communication needs. The program incorporates reading, writing, art, music, obstacle courses, speech, and socialization with communication and school readiness skills at the core of the program. The students are introduced to many alternative ways to communicate including the use of technology. Their parents are provided with instruction and training to enable the children to better communicate with their families, educators, and friends.

Following the summer program, DSCBA staff partners with the student's fall educational team to ensure a smooth transition into the new school year. CRP has resulted in phenomenal achievements for young children with Down syndrome and their families, often giving the participant a "voice" for the very first time.

Do you think your child would benefit from attending CRP this summer?  If so, please take a 1-2 minutes to complete the CRP 2023 Interest Form below and we will reach out to you with more details!
