Welcome to the Sikora Lab Front Range ILC Newsletter
The Sikora Lab was launched in August 2016. Our research group, under the leadership of Principal Investigator Matthew J Sikora, PhD, focuses on invasive lobular carcinoma of the breast (ILC). We strive to create an environment to develop productive, responsible and collaborative members of the scientific community. We welcome the insight and input of Patient Advocates into our research.

Sikora Lab Hosts Spring ILC Event April 6th
We are pleased to announce our Spring ILC event, and invite you to join us for a luncheon on “Lobular Breast Cancer Research & Advocacy on the Front Range” at noon-2pm on Thursday April 6th, at the Anschutz Medical Campus.
At the event, you can learn about ongoing ILC research at CU Anschutz, and join us in building the Front Range ILC patient advocacy group. We are planning to focus on three main topics:
Ongoing ILC research in the Sikora Lab, and how patient advocates support the development of laboratory research programs
Working with new patient advocacy efforts via the U. Colorado Cancer Center
Building local support networks for patients with newly diagnosed ILC and/or metastatic ILC
We are very pleased to be joined by Lori Petitti, President of the Breast Cancer Care & Research Fund and co-founder of the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance, Dr. Tracy Cushing, Board member for the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance, and Dr. Donna Charlevoix, METAvivor peer-to-peer mentor, to lead our discussions on growing Front Range ILC.
