Cog Wild's annual staff training is two weeks out!
This is a paid training and you are strongly encouraged to attend because it's great for all of us to get an overview of Cog's 2023 operations together and we tend to have a good time. An invitation to the training has been sent directly to your email. Please RSVP whether you can make it or not and even if you have already told one of us of your plans. Here's the what, why, how:

Get an overview of 2023 Operations in Bend & Oakridge, multi day trips and Cascadia Junior Cycling Programs
Spend time building the team
Learn about natural resource issues in Oregon
Review and reinforce best practices for supporting our clients to ride bikes in Oregon
Review risk management and emergency response protocols
Why:
Cog employees feel supported and ready to kick ass this season.

Reminder: 2023 Season Employee Pre-work due by March 24, 2023:
You are invited to complete your annual staff requirements, which are listed on the staff resources page (password: iridebikes). The employee intake form has fields to upload your training certificates; please complete the trainings and have the certificates of completion downloaded before completing the annual intake form.
2023 Trainings:
Look for and RSVP for content specific trainings via calendar invitations in your email. Please join us for all that are relevant to you.
Cascadia Junior Cycling Spring Program Training April 11, 4:30 to 6:30 PM for all coaches scheduled for Spring 2023. Expect an overview of the entire CJC program and how to assess riders to give specific instruction.
Oakridge Staff training April 14, 3 to 6 PM get up to speed on Oakridge operations: location, daily shuttle schedules, guided rides and skills sessions, staff assignments.
Skills Clinic Instructors Training May 1 from 3 to 7 PM. Lev will be fresh off a coach certification training, a level 1 course and shadowing a level 2 course so he will have lots to share about teaching people to ride bikes.
June 12 , 4:30 to 6:30 PM: Dr. Annie Pendygraft, sports psychologist, will teach us about fear responses and how to support clients when they are scared on trail. Learn more about her work via this podcast:Making Friends with Fear in Mountain Biking.
