Terraseeding is a blown-in mixture containing native grass seed, soil amendment and mulch. This process can sometimes blow material into the air which will settle on nearby structures. The product is non-toxic, it is a natural organic material like compost or manure.
The areas in purple on the map below will be treated March 27th or 28th, depending on weather and scheduling. Work is to be completed no later than the end of the week. Areas are 1) between the homes on E. Bailey Circle, and 2) Inspiration Lane between E. Del Norte Place and S. Versailles St.
Please remove any items from your decks or surrounding your homes that are hard to wipe down or rinse off in case of dust settling. Please keep windows, doors and garages closed while the vendor is applying material to prevent migration into inside spaces.
The vendor does its best to minimize airborne material. However, the vendor and District will not be responsible for cleaning items soiled by blown-in material. We will monitor the process and if conditions are too windy, the process will be halted and rescheduled. Some material migration is to be expected and some material could be blown into your property. The process can have a slight odor.
We appreciate your understanding with this sometimes messy and inconvenient process. Terraseeding is the premium process with the most success in establishing native grass in our local climate. The common goal is to have healthy and water-wise native grass areas and ecosystems for you to enjoy.
