Fence Staining and Terraseeding Alerts
Crews will work to prevent overspray, schedule updates to follow

District Fence Staining

Staining work will begin soon on designated sections of District-owned fencing. You may see crews doing initial preparation and power washing prior to staining work.

Each year the Board allocates funding to rotate through the large amount of District-owned fence to be re-stained. This year, 9,440 linear feet of fence will be stained. Simcoe (the same vendor as last year) and Public Alliance will be performing the work. The District paints the outside and top rail of the fence. Homeowners are responsible for staining the inside portion.

See the map below for the areas of fence staining that will be completed in 2023. Sections are along E. Glidden Dr., S. Zante Ct., E. Eads Dr., E. Bailey Cir., E. Minnow Pl., and S. DeGaulle Ct. The developer may stain additional areas, we will send those updates as we get them.

Nothing is allowed be attached to the fence. if you have anything attached, please remove it. If there are items obstructing the staining process, the homeowner will be responsible for staining the areas that cannot be completed. While crews take care to minimize any overspray, please protect or move any items that you may have near the fence when your area is scheduled.

Scheduling updates will be provided as they are available. Please email Sarah Warner, Field Superintendent, with any questions or concerns: Sarah@publicalliancellc.com.

Terraseeding Areas

Terraseeding is a blown-in mixture containing native grass seed, soil amendment and mulch. This process can sometimes blow material into the air which will settle on nearby structures. The product is non-toxic, it is a natural organic material like compost or manure.

The areas in purple on the map below will be treated March 27th or 28th, depending on weather and scheduling. Work is to be completed no later than the end of the week. Areas are 1) between the homes on E. Bailey Circle, and 2) Inspiration Lane between E. Del Norte Place and S. Versailles St.

Please remove any items from your decks or surrounding your homes that are hard to wipe down or rinse off in case of dust settling. Please keep windows, doors and garages closed while the vendor is applying material to prevent migration into inside spaces.

The vendor does its best to minimize airborne material. However, the vendor and District will not be responsible for cleaning items soiled by blown-in material. We will monitor the process and if conditions are too windy, the process will be halted and rescheduled. Some material migration is to be expected and some material could be blown into your property. The process can have a slight odor.

We appreciate your understanding with this sometimes messy and inconvenient process. Terraseeding is the premium process with the most success in establishing native grass in our local climate. The common goal is to have healthy and water-wise native grass areas and ecosystems for you to enjoy.

Please email Sarah Warner, Field Superintendent, with any questions or concerns: Sarah@publicalliancellc.com.

Temporary Road Closure on Inspiration Drive - April 3rd
Work to improve drainage / replace a culvert at Inspiration Drive and Gartrell Road is expected to start on Monday, April 3rd.  Road closure signage will be posted 72 hours in advance of the temporary road closure, likely on Wednesday, March 29th. This is a developer project in conjunction with the City of Aurora. The scope and timing of the closure will be less than what is listed on the City's website.

The work area (east of Gartrell Road) is marked in red.
Inspiration Drive eastbound from Gartrell Road is the only road section that will be closed. Vehicles will be able to use Gartrell Road and Inspiration Drive on the other side of Gartrell Road.

Inclement weather could impact the schedule. As details are updated and confirmed, further information will be communicated.

As previously shared, an informational presentation was prepared in February explaining the ballot issue on the May 2, 2023 election regarding raising the mill levy cap to collect all revenue via property taxes and eliminating the quarterly fee assessments.
