Upcoming Events & Actions

Rochester for Energy Democracy (RED) Campaign

Color Brighton Green has endorsed the Rochester for Energy Democracy (RED) Campaign! Rochester for Energy Democracy is Metro Justice’s campaign to take over RG&E and turn it into a public utility. An equitable and democratic utility will reduce bills, stop shut-offs, and invest RG&E’s $108 Million in yearly profits back to the region, while creating local union jobs and a renewable energy transition for all. Take local control and give ratepayers a say in their power. Please sign their petition, call your local leaders, and come speak at upcoming events.

Energy Advisors meet with individuals to discuss home comfort concerns, such as heating, cooling, and ventilation. Residents will also learn how to take advantage of the opportunity to do a free home energy audit, where a building performance expert comes to your home to assess health & safety, indoor air quality & comfort, as well as the durability of your energy materials. Additionally, we can discuss various incentives available to either off-set or supplement costs for potential upgrades or replacement of new materials.
