New Adult Education class… Violence, Peace, and Jesus Sunday mornings in the Sanctuary after worship, March 12-April 2
Violence—it’s roots are usually thought to be racial/ethnic, socio-economic, psychological/emotional, or geo-political. If this is true, then why doesn’t some combination of education, laws, medicine, or war result in peace? What if the root of violence in all its forms is, in fact, spiritual…and the path to peace is not through City Hall but through hearts and minds?
Join Pastor David as we seek to discover our responsibility as Christ-followers in achieving peace in our individual lives, our communities, and all creation.
As we adjust to the new composting guidelines and recommit to working toward zero waste living, the Earth Care team will share recommendations for how we still can continue our progress toward being a zero-waste community.
Tips For Zero Waste Living: #1 Refuse.
Focus on the waste you’re preventing rather than the waste you’re producing. Master the art of saying “no” to unnecessary waste. Whether it’s a plastic bag, restaurant straw or a flyer on the street, avoid things you don’t need that will likely end up in landfill.
Read And Swing: Join us as we help Columbine Elementary students to enjoy the power of reading AND golf! The Spring, 2023 sessions start April 3 and go through May 1. Addiction and/or interest in golf is not a requirement. Interest in kids is!
