IN OUR PRAYERS
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We pray for healing for:
- Earl Willenbrock, Sr. hospitalized following surgery
- Ron Damery, and Herb Wissel (grandfather of ECC child, Wilmot), who are hospitalized
- Joyce Bruss, recovering from outpatient surgery
- Mel Nierdieck, in rehab following hospitalization
We rejoice that Nicole McReynolds has accepted the position of 3- and 4-year-old Word of Life Preschool Teacher at our campus. We keep in prayer Allie (O'Toole) Pierce, the current teacher, soon to welcome their first child to their family and conclude her ministry at St. Lucas/Word of Life School this week.
We rejoice at the birth of a new granddaughter, Leyna Horman, to Frank and Barbara Schmaltz
May the Holy Spirit bless our efforts to witness to the Gospel through our Holy Week and Easter outreach efforts, especially the Egg-vitation.
We ask God's blessings on a new SELC District church plant launching Sunday, March 26, in Sanford, FL. This new worshipping community will be a satellite of Holy Cross, located at their school campus.
To request prayer, go to the Prayer Page on our website. You can indicate if you want the prayers to be confidential or included in the Sunday prayers and/or the e-news. You also can sign up to be a Prayer Partner.

EASTER EGG-VITATION
Invite Your Friends and Family to Easter Events
The power of the resurrection of Jesus changes everything. Take the opportunity to witness to your family and friends. Invite them to Holy Week worship with an Egg-vitation!
What's an Egg-vitation? It's a plastic Easter egg that includes:
- A mini-pamphlet explaining the significance of Good Friday and Easter with worship times.
- An invitation to the Egg Hunt and Easter Breakfast
- A tag with church information. You can use the back to write a personal message.
- A "He is Risen" button pin.
Click here for a preview of the contents.
|
|
You can pick up Egg-vitations in the church entrance on the tree. May the love of Christ give us each the courage to share the joy of Easter!
Special thanks to the amazing, hard-working volunteers who assembled over 250 eggs: Barbara Baranovic, Joan and Ron Shebik, Kathy Moffett, Josh McDonald, Rachel Larson, Mary Bartlow and Kathy Christopher.

EASTER OFFERINGS
We celebrate this blessed holiday, as it has brought hope and joy to billions of people throughout history.
Make Easter offerings online during the Easter season! It is encouraging to see both new and familiar faces at our worship services. Throughout the year, many of you already support the congregation with your time, talent and financial contributions but greater seasonal participation is always welcome. We encourage you to consider our electronic giving program. We accept donations made from your bank account and credit card or debit cards. It takes just a few minutes to set up a recurring giving plan.
Your generous gifts are being used to support the ministries and missions of St. Lucas here in St. Louis and throughout the world through our SELC District and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
Click here to access our Giving Page.
By the way, did you know you can participate in our services online whenever you can’t attend in person? You can! It's more than a livestream. It's the full church experience.

MEET THE ELDERS
Hi! I'm Phil Miksad, and one of the hats I wear at Saint Lucas is that of Elder. I'm happy to serve in this way, to give back to Saint Lucas as it has given so much to me. I've served as Pastor in Lakefield, MN, Raritan, NJ, and Galloway, NJ. Happily married to my wife Carol for almost 49 years.
Click here for a list indicating to which elder your household has been assigned.

WORSHIP NOTE: As we are marking the third anniversary of COVID, the Elders are rolling back the final COVID related precautions. Starting April 2, Palm Sunday, we will again pass the offering plate in the sanctuary. Pastor again hand the host (wafer) directly to communicants, after using hand sanitizer. If you still prefer to receive the host in the plastic cup, just let Pastor know.

THANKS TO ALL FOR THE RUMMAGE SALE
We are thankful to God for a very successful rummage sale. By God's blessing we received $2000 in sales, more that double recent previous sales.
A HUGE THANK YOU to the many volunteers that made this possible! Of course, thanks to the faithful Women's Guild with Nancy Roach leading, the Men's Club, who did a lot of heavy lifting, and all those who donated items to sell, and those who purchased.

ALL-IN GENEROSITY
We have a God that is in the multiplication business! His math is entirely different than our math – He takes what we offer and turns it into more than we can ever imagine. With God at the helm, we can be generous; we don’t need to worry that God will stop providing for us. We trust His promise to take care of us; He will multiply the bread and fish just as He did in Luke 9:16-17 when we put our trust in Him. When we give to the Lord, He brings forth an abundance.
All-In Generosity begins with the understanding that what we give is not really “ours”. Everything we are and have belongs to God. He is the owner of all things. We are simply stewards of what God entrusts to our management. As All-In Disciples, we give cheerfully, proportionately, regularly, and sacrificially.
