In the season of Lent this year we will be focusing on the Lenten Disciplines with an eye toward Stewardship. Lent affords us a time of self-examination, consideration of the gifts that God bestows, what things we need to "turn away from" and what things we need to "turn towards." Take this opportunity during the season of Lent to consider your own connection and commitment to the mission and ministry through Bethel. Is God calling you to new ventures? Deeper commitment?  Exploration of new areas?  Greater Generosity with time, talent and possessions? The Disciplines of Lent help us hone our own self understanding, and the benefits of that are the results in amendment of life and clarity of purpose. Here are the weekly themes and the scriptures we will look at to consider them.

March 22^nd – “Sacrificial Giving”    2^nd Corinthians 8:1-15
March 29^th – “Works of Love”   John 4:9-12
