This Sunday, join us for Adult Formation as we welcome Rabbi Raachel Jurovics for a session on Leadership in Interfaith Dialogue. St. Paul’s Pre-EYC will be on retreat this weekend. We also have some of our youth participating in a Diocesan Happening Weekend. Let’s keep them in our prayers. This Sunday is the last chance to make a donation for Easter Lilies. Did you see the academy awards a couple weeks ago? The movie Everything, Everywhere, All at Once won numerous awards. Watch it this weekend and join Movie Night this Monday. Easter Envelopes
Remember the story of Moses encountering God in the burning bush? He was told to remove the sandals from his feet because he was on holy ground. To remove his sandals was to remove the deadness that separated him from the sacredness, vitality, and life of the earth. God was calling Moses to wake up and realize wherever sandals are removed, wherever we shed the deadness, we wake up to the reality that we are on holy ground. Creation care is rooted in that realization.
Let this Easter be a reminder to us that St. Paul’s is holy ground. These 13 acres are a gift, and our stewardship of this gift is a blessing for all of us. The care and joy we find in caring for this part of creation is so evident when we see Mulch Madness, parishioners mowing the lawn, the cleaning company here just about every day, the care of the Memorial Garden, the care of the courtyard, children playing in the playground, the building renovations that have enhanced our ministries, and so much more. The care for this hallowed ground began with our founders and is passed on to our children and youth through example and our ministries of formation.
When we returned to in-person worship after the pandemic restrictions, I was moved by the tears in so many parishioner’s eyes when they walked through the doors of the church for the first time in many, many months, and some a couple years, and said how emotional it was to return. They missed being here. They missed this hallowed place.
You will find Easter Offering envelopes in the pews at church the next few Sundays. You are invited to make a donation, as you are moved, over and above your annual pledge, to strengthen and enhance the care we provide for these holy grounds we call St. Paul’s.

Adult Formation
On Sundays between 10:15-11:00 a.m. in the St. Paul’s Chapel, join us for a conversation about leadership.
We all have ideas about what makes for a good leader – and, maybe, one too many examples about what doesn’t. What does it mean to be a leader, and what qualities does a good leader embody? How does Jesus’ life and ministry shape our understanding of faithful leadership, both within the church as well as out in the world?
As we head back to the Chapel for our in-person forums, the sessions will no longer be streamed live online. Instead, they will be recorded and posted to the St. Paul’s YouTube page afterward. We appreciate your patience and understanding; the recordings should be available within a few days of when the particular forum takes place.

Pre-EYC Retreat
St. Paul’s Pre-EYC (4th and 5th graders) is having an overnight retreat at Blue Jay Point County Park this weekend. It's the first time we're resuming this event since 2019. Thanks to the Pre-EYC committee & volunteers for making this happen. Let’s keep them in our prayers.

Easter Lily Donations
Donating an Easter Lily to decorate the altar and worship spaces on Easter Sunday is a beautiful way to remember or give thanks for the special people in our lives. The Altar Guild requests a donation of $35.00 per plant; make checks payable to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, note Altar Guild Lily on the memo line; envelopes are in the pews.
All requests must be received by THIS SUNDAY, March 26th, for memorials to appear in the Easter bulletins.

Easter Candy Donations Requested
|
|
|
|
The Children's Ministry Committee requests donations of Easter candy for the Easter Egg Hunt! We would like individually packaged treats such as Hershey's kisses; small packages of M&Ms; small bags of jelly beans; fruit rolls; and granola bars. We would also welcome colorful and seasonal pencils, erasers, and stickers.
Please bring your donation to church by Palm Sunday (April 2). There will be a donation box in the narthex.

Movie Night March 27 at 7:00 p.m.

Hey, Movie Lovers!
You are invited to join us each month for Movie Night, a discussion of recent and not-so-recent movies, hosted by Fr. Javier and Tad Richard.
This month, we’ll be discussing the multi-Oscar-winning film, Everything Everywhere All At Once. Be advised that this genre-bending movie is very strange and at times wildly irreverent, so it may not be for everyone. It should make for lively discussion though!

We will meet at Fortnight Brewing Company, which is close to the church, on Monday, March 27, at 7:00 p.m. Fortnight has good outdoor (covered) seating, they offer non-alcoholic drink options in addition to beer, and are OK if you bring your own non-alcoholic drink.
If you are interested – of course you are interested! – watch the movie ahead of time and join us there and then.

Habitat for Humanity Episcopal Build
|
|
Saturday, April 1, 2023, is St. Paul’s Day at the Habitat for Humanity Episcopal Build at Old Poole Place in Raleigh. We have pledged to provide at least 15 volunteers and lunch for the crew that day, working from approximately 8:00 am to 3:30 pm; will you be part of this great experience?
The Episcopal Build is a coalition of eleven Episcopal churches in the Diocese of North Carolina who have joined together to strengthen relationships while serving hard working families in need of affordable housing.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age to participate, and you must register in advance on the Episcopal volunteer hub.
