• The January meeting was well attended to see the film "Aldermaston Pottery: The Last Glaze Firing", produced by Tony Booth in 2006 with permission of Stefan Booth, his son. Potters Andrew Hazelden and Ursula Waechter, who were in the film, answered questions from the audience.

• A copy of the Memories Book was donated by Mrs Muriel Page, who left Aldermaston back in 1955! The book is now on display at the Hinds Head.

• Speakers and subjects have been arranged for the July and November Meetings (see below)

• We received a nice email this week, that shows that all the effort and funding has been worthwhile

I’ve been researching my husband’s family history, and have been tracing a long line of the Paice family, most of the line being called Nicholas! Having discovered in land tax records that our Paices owned some land in their own right, and also held land owned by the lord of the manor, I started looking at what was the ‘big house’ in Aldermaston at the time, and came upon your website. What a great find! It gave me so much information about Aldermaston, and particularly about Aldermaston House and its owners.

The purpose of this email is just to say thank you for a great website, which is so interesting and informative.
