Write from the heart & share your story with others
On the 4th Sunday of each month from 4-7PM, you are wholeheartedly invited to join me and nine fellow writers for the Sunday Salon. We'll gather at theOffice - the shared workspace I co-own here in Santa Monica - and at the start of each session I'll lead us through a guided meditation then offer up a new writing prompt. You'll have 40 minutes to write, then we'll come together and everyone will read what they've written to the group.
The Sunday Salon is a brave space to dig deep, to bypass the inner critic and to share your voice with others. I'm limiting this to 10 writers per month in order to keep things intimate and so that everyone participating has time to share.

This is from an old NYT profile on Waits and his creative practice. His image of birds as otherworld messengers, as counsel with the muse, is an ancient idea shared by many cultures and it reminds me of that old story about the woman who would sit in the park at the same time every day to feed the birds. Every day she’d be there, every day she’d feed them, until she inevitably missed a day, but do you know what happened? The birds still came.
Show up. Consistently. It’s the only way the muse knows how to find you. And she will find you. 🕊️
Looking for support with YOUR creative practice?
Our last session of The Charioteers - the 8-person creativity workshop/support group - is this Tuesday and it has been beyond inspiring to witness the growth of this committed group of creatives.
I have received a few requests to offer this again and I’d be honored to do that if there’s enough interest. We would meet for 5 sessions over the course of 4 weeks (one lunar cycle) sometime in June/July. $190 total. (Discount or barter options for those in need.)
