Hey Bookworm!

Welcome to my newsletter. Here are some highlights from the past couple of months.

  • Writing - Greedy
  • Reading - Winning
  • Life - Girl Time

Last newsletter, I was so busy thinking about chocolate that I forgot to tell you about my latest releases! Click on the images to find out where to buy.

April 1 marked the publication of Little Fish is Hungry. This is a fun story to teach the concept of size using a variety of size words. It also has a subtle moral lesson about being greedy. Little Fish spends the book trying to eat really big things, but they don't fir in his mouth. Meanwhile, his friend, Big Fish, spends the book eating little things. Guess who is still hungry at the end of the story?

April 15 was release day for Not Fair! This story follows two sisters as they try to share some lollies. It's a great way to teach and reinforce the concepts of more, less and equal. Parents will love the twist ending, where Mum steps in to help and takes most of the lollies for herself. Kids will probably prefer the follow up story, The Fair Way to Share, coming out next month, where the sisters return and figure out how to share all by themselves.

Congrats to Julie, who won a paperback copy of The Cat Who Found Her Family. She should receive the book during this week.

Thanks to everyone else who entered. Make sure to check your email, as I sent you a little surprise thank you gift.
It's my birthday today, and for my birthday I got a house with no boys in it! My husband has taken our son camping with his cousin, his brother and his brother's son. I'm home with my daughter and her second cousin. And one dog, and cat and two rats, who are also girls. The budgies and probably half the fish are boys, but I won't concern myself with that. Girls rule, boys drool!

What's the gender balance at your house? Are you outnumbered? Reply to this emai and let me know.
