New items thanks to Dutchess Land Conservancy & Dutchess County's Learn, Play, Create Grant!

We now have 3 Dutchess Land Conservancy Nature Explorers Backpacks to lend out to our Dutchess County patrons! Reader is seated between the Nighttime & Insects backpacks (Forests has already gone out on loan!) Loan time is one week. They can be renewed once and are not an item that can be put on hold. This will be the last beginner's class before the group moves on to a crochet project! Sign up is required. Register online or call the library at 845-832-6605 to sign up. Open to teens & up.

*Maria was unexpectedly out for the latter half of April. The following is her usual schedule of classes, but this may change depending on how Maria is doing and what her plans are. Our online calendar will be updated with info as we get it.

Medicare 101

Are you new to Medicare? Will you turn 65 in the next year or two? Learn about how and when to enroll, when you can make changes and the different types of insurance options available to you.

Medicare Resource Group will help you discover the resources available for you to simplify your Medicare choices. Contact John at 914-424-7084 to sign up and reserve your seat.

Whether you know how to play chess or would like to learn, just come on over! If you have a board, bring it along, but boards will be made available. We’ll also have Magic: The Gathering & Pokémon cards here if you’d like to play with those. If you have your own cards, you can bring them too!

The Friends is a group operating under the non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of the Dover Plains Library whose purpose is to generate important financial assistance for the Dover Plains Library through fundraising, advocacy and membership dues.

The library now has a puzzle exchange! Bring a puzzle to take a puzzle.
We welcome puzzles for all ages. This is a great way to swap out all of those puzzles you've already completed, that are sitting in a pile in your closet and taking up space!!
The puzzle exchange is located inside the main library, through the 'Reference' doorway, and a quick turn to the right! The puzzles are on the shelf across from the card catalog computer and below the audiobooks!

Help support the library and let everyone know where YOU go to get lit!!
(We mean LITERATURE, lol!!) We have purple shirts in adult unisex sizes from M to XXL. While supplies last! Suggested donation is $15.
