Half Million Mobilization 2023
Once again, we are joining together with Nazarenes from across Canada and the USA for a time of focused prayer. Easter through Pentecost, we are praying forGod’s power in the mission and vision to which He has called us:
Mobilizing all Nazarenes in unity in the midst of a polarized world.
- Calling our churches to engage in blessing our community.
- Bringing people to Jesus especially our younger generations.
- Embracing the transformation of the whole person through becoming Christlike disciples.
In the book of Acts, we see over and over again what God does through prayer. When His people call on him and become aligned with His will and purpose through prayer, God moves in incredible ways. Acts 13 is an example of this.
The following is a devotional I wrote for the Half Million Mobilization Prayer Journal.
Scripture – Acts 13:2
2 “While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
Scripture Insights
Prayer becomes powerful, not when you use the correct words or the right inflection or tone in your voice. Prayer becomes powerful when it is about finding the mind of Christ. What is Jesus saying to me through His Spirit? Spending time listening to God in our prayer life is where we find the mind of Christ.
It’s interesting that it was while the leaders of the church in Antioch were worshiping and fasting, that the Holy Spirit spoke. These early church leaders had made room in their worship and as they prayed and fasted, to listen to God. As a result of their listening and obedience, the Apostle Paul was commissioned to what would be a life on mission, planting churches and writing what is now a significant portion of the New Testament. Could it be that God would use you in your context – home, neighborhood, community, church – as you listen to him. Finding the mind of Christ is the road map to join Him on mission. Let us be intentional listeners of God.
Today’s Prayer
Lord, help me make space to listen to you in prayer. Help me be obedient to move in the direction you lead. Empower me to be effective as I join you in Your mission of transforming lives for now and eternity.

We join with the Global church in celebrating!
In February, “…the General Board recognized the retirement of 12 Nazarene missionaries representing a combined 300 years of service to our beloved church. The impact of their consecrated lives have touched 1000’s of people for Christ in 11 world areas and 4 continents. There were also 11 new missionaries commissioned from 7 countries to serve 4 global missions regions.” (Dr. David Busic).
Praise God, for these faithful servants of Christ!

NYC Update
NYC'23 is less than 4 months away and we are so excited! Marg Stahlbaum and I had the opportunity to head down to Tampa Bay, Florida for the Leadership Conference and check out all the amazing things the youth will be doing.
It was wonderful to be a part of the prayers over the locations the youth will be at for worship and to connect with other leaders from all over North America.
We are blessed to have so many things come together while we were there and see the ways God will be working in the city and in the youth.
There will be an information meeting scheduled soon for the parents of those attending as well as one for the youth.
