Here are 3 ideas to encourage CYP to share and grow in their faith and home, church and school:
1. Mon 22nd May 7.30-9.30pm, Zoom
Join Lucy Moore, the Head of the Growing Faith movement, for an evening about ideas to try and grow faith in CYP at church, at home and at school. Sign up for the Growing Faith webinar here.
2. East Greenwich Team Ministry had an Easter Messy Church. Families met with God in nature and explored the hope of a new life in the risen Christ using Messy Adventures, Session 12.
3.CYP reflections on Easter week at St George's, Shirley: "We learnt about Holy Week."
"We painted and decorated a cross used on Easter Sunday."
"I've learnt that Jesus sacrificed his life to forgive our sins".

Youth forums are back!
We want to hear from our youth! Do encourage your young people (aged 13+) to join the Bishop and Archdeacons of their episcopal area to have their say on topics that are important to them and build connections with other young people.
CYP Drop in Zooms, 2nd May (First Tuesday of every month), 1.30-2.30pm, Zoom
Network, share ideas and explore a CYP subject-specific area.
- Tues 2nd May-Join the CYP Team to find out how to engage with CYP in challenging times.
- Tues 6th June-Andy Monks, CYP worker at Ascension Balham and author of The Now Generation will encourage us to empower CYP to have influence and lead today.
- Tues 4th July-Join Sharon Moughtin, the author of Diddy Disciples as she encourages us to do worship and Biblical storytelling with babies, toddlers and young children.Register interest for the May to July CYP Drop in Zooms here

Do you work with young people?
Join the 9 month Aurora Youth Ministry course, become a Commissioned Youth Workerand gain a qualification which is formally recognised throughout the Diocese of Southwark.
- Deepen your understanding of ministry to young people in today’s settings.
- Identify what is not working so well in your church and make changes.
To gain the qualification you also need to complete the Bishop’s Certificate in the second year. There is also an Aurora Children’s Ministry course, and that will begin in September 2024 (you could begin that qualification by taking the Bishop’s Certificate first).
To join the course you will:
- Attend a Lay Ministry evening. Email Helen Medland to book your lay ministry evening place
- Go through a discernment process led by the Lay Ministry Team
- Complete the 9 month Aurora Course, followed by the 9 month Southwark Diocese Bishop's Certificate.
