Mix & Mingle |
Book Harvest Durham’s School & Family Engagement team held the first Mix & Mingle event for families on March 21st. Parent voice is extremely important to us and we are hosting these events to ensure we honor it in our program planning.
We were pleased to host a small band of attendees who came out to learn more about Book Harvest, participate in some lively activities, break bread together, and begin building community with our team. It was a lovely evening, and our team is grateful to have had the opportunity to share information about our goals and meet some of the people we work in service of in our roles. Boricua Soul provided the yummy goodies and Kreative Kidz NC supervised and provided activities for the kiddos in our beautiful Family Space. |
Join us! We invite you to our next Mix & Mingle on May 2 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at Book Harvest. Childcare and dinner will be provided! We look forward to getting to know you as we work to build our Parent-to-Parent Network. If you are interested in attending, you can rsvp using the button below. |
Questions? Please contact our family engagement manager, Alisa Miller at alisa@bookharvest.org. |

More Book Boxes Near You!
There are more and more green and orange Book Boxes popping up around Durham this spring! In March we installed brand new boxes at Glenn Elementary, Creekside Elementary, West Point on the Eno, and City of Medicine Academy.
These Book Boxes are stocked by Book Harvest and filled with culturally inclusive children’s books. No need to ‘give one and take one’, just take the books home and keep them forever! |
