Help us reach our Zakat goal this Ramadan
|
|
In the remaining time of these blessed days, gift your Zakat to aid those in need.
Right now, we’ve collected less than half of the Zakat we need to meet the needs of our local Muslim community in the coming year.
These critical funds are needed to provide ongoing support to those in our community who are facing hardships in the form of either suffering silently from illnesses, abuse, abandonment, disabilities, loss of work, eviction, or facing significant life changes.
Each day, we are averaging five applications for financial assistance from East Bay Muslim families.
As the largest distributor of Zakat funds in the East Bay, demand for our many Zakat programs continues to grow. Not having enough funds means cutting down on some of the critical support we provide to the families we serve.
In these blessed last waning days of Ramadan, please help us serve our community by making a Zakat contribution online or through other means.

On Eid ul-Fitr morning, we want every deserving child in a Zakat-eligible family in the East Bay to receive a brand-new toy to unwrap and enjoy! Help us by donating new, unwrapped gifts in the bins located in the foyer area or order online and ship them to MCC.

|
|
- Zakat: Invest in local community. Donate to replenish this critical fund that has helped more than 500 East Bay families since last Ramadan.
- Zakat-ul-Fitr: Donate $12/person now so we can distribute this mandatory payment in time before Eid for each member of your household (regardless of age) that is given to the needy in our community so they are able to enjoy Eid.
- Toy Drive: We're collecting 650 toys for local zakat-eligible families so their parents can give their children a gift on Eid morning. Join us in bringing joy this Eid to them.
- Taraweeh: Attend in person at 9:30 p.m. nightly (or watch online) and watch all the great content we are curating each day for you.

Make a Difference, Donate a Bike
|
|
Bicycles can be one's primary mode of transportation if they are new to the country and don't have a driver's license or a car.
We have more than a dozen male refugee breadwinners for their families on the waitlist now.
As part of MCC's refugee assistance program, we are collecting bicycles for refugee families in need, especially bikes for adults & teens.
Please support these families during this blessed month of Ramadan.
