Welcome to April, Gleaners🌼

It's hard to believe we're already in April, but that means we're even closer to that sweet late spring/summer bounty.🤩

The storms have set back some of our partner farms with planting and harvesting, but we'll be ready to glean as soon as they are. For now, we'll be focusing on backyard gleans - which means lots of citrus trees next week!🍊🍋

Covid Protocol Update

Per SLO Food Bank's most recent COVID Prevention Plan, outdoor volunteer activities do not require the use of face masks or physical distance, regardless of vaccination status.

Can't find time to harvest with us?

Consider making a financial donation (one time or recurring) to your favorite local food rescue team!
DONATE TO GleanSLO
Please keep in mind that our first priority is harvesting for the SLO Food Bank and its community partners and direct recipients. Each farm/site is different and will have varying preferences as to what we do with blemished produce.

Please bring a reusable bag in the event that there is produce for volunteers to take home. Hope to see you out there!

GleanSLO's Vision
GleanSLO's volunteers rescued over 300,000 lbs of fresh, local produce in 2022 alone, and more than 2 Million pounds since our beginning in 2010!
Through the act of harvesting and sharing food, we connect and nourish our community to build stronger relationships and a deeper appreciation for our food.
