Slip and falls are the leading cause of accidental injury in the UnitedStates. According to recent CDC data, falls are the cause of 800,000 annual hospitalizations related to head injuries and hip fractures. Falls among older adults (65 and over) cause over 36,000 annual deaths and $50 billion in medical costs.

Falls are preventable by the flooring industry, shoe industry, alert store managers, more careful use of railings, bannisters and canes, safer modes of walking and more. Please join us next Wednesday April 12, 2023 at 12:30 PM ET for a special live Zoom edition of the Ralph Nader Radio Hour, sponsored by the American Museum of Tort Law.

Our guest will be author and leading expert in slip and fall prevention Russell Kendzior, to discuss where, why and how slip and falls happen, how to prevent them, the legitimacy of slip and fall lawsuits and more. We will also learn about the role of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Attendees in the live Zoom audience will be able to watch the team record the show and will have the opportunity to ask questions or make comments on the presentation.
