The City and County of Denver and its contracted crews are replacing an old sanitary sewer line under Speer Boulevard between W 29th Avenue and Alcott Street.
To prepare for this work, crews will begin restriping the vehicle travel lanes along this stretch of Speer starting Tuesday, May 2, weather permitting.
When striping is complete, there will be a single southbound travel lane and two northbound travel lanes between Alcott Street and 29th Avenue.
The travel lanes will shift to the north side of Speer, while the sanitary sewer work occurs on the south side of Speer, in what are currently the southbound travel lanes.
