Our next City Councilperson could be you.   

As part of the Charleston City redistricting effort last year hundreds of you requested that all of Johns Island within the CIty be included in a single City council district.   City Council obliged and constituted District 3 as shown below.
 

It's now time for candidates to come forward to consider running for this Council seat.  This is an opportunity for you to make a significant impact on the future of Johns Island.

Note that this is a nonpartisan race, so there is no primary election.  Also, the issues are not national or state ones, but rather local issues that impact us every day such as zoning, developments, roads, and flooding.
