Today's Readings

“The Lord has truly been raised and has appeared to Simon!”
Then the two recounted what had taken place on the way
and how he was made known to them in the breaking of the bread.
"De veras ha resucitado el Señor y se le ha aparecido a Simón". Entonces ellos contaron lo que les había pasado en el camino y cómo lo habían reconocido al partir el pan.

Thursday Morning Men's Group Guest Speaker- Dr. Mikey Bryant

April 20th at 7 am

Please consider joining the Men's Group Thursday, the 20th, at 7 am to hear from missionary, Dr. Mikey Bryant.

Originally from Wales, Dr. Mikey grew up as an MK (Missionary Kid) in Africa with his parents. After school, he decided to re-enter the mission field as a medical professional.

Dr. Mikey was on the ground in Sierra Leone during the Ebola crisis that devastated West Africa in 2013 and is currently serving as the lead doctor at ELWA Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia.

He will also be the lead doctor in the new Jesus Loves Me Pediatric Clinic (a LIVE2540 project supported by many St. Francis parishioners) in Bong County, Liberia, about 3 hours into one of the more remote places of Liberia where healthcare is scarce.

All are welcome to join us as Dr. Mikey shares a little of his story and heart for missions.

Pope Francis’ Prayer Intention – April 2023

For a culture of peace and non-violence. We pray for the spread of peace and non-violence by decreasing the use of weapons by States and citizens.
Por una cultura de la no violencia. Oremos por una mayor difusión de una cultura de la no violencia, que pasa por un uso cada vez menor de las armas, tanto por parte de los estados como de los ciudadanos.
Happy Easter! At AM 1160 The Quest, we have a lot to celebrate.  April 21, 2023, is our 5th Anniversary of broadcasting on the air!  That’s 5 years of being YOUR ATLANTA CATHOLIC RADIO! The Quest is hosting an Open House & Cook-Out on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 11 am-3 pm at The Quest Studio to celebrate this milestone.  There will be yard games, studio tours, and grilling hotdogs and hamburgers.  Come have lunch with us, and if you have never been to The Quest, now would be a great time to check out our studio and stop in to say a prayer in our chapel.  We look forward to seeing you.
