We hope you are enjoying this gorgeous weather, this week!  One way is to come to OLLI, we will be happy to have you in our classrooms. Our new session is off to a good start, and we are seeing more familiar faces back at OLLI this spring session. For those of you finally returning to in-person, welcome back, if you're new to OLLI at Emory, welcome, it's good to have you!  Our instructors love to have their students in the classroom. Also, don't forget, morning coffee is back and the conversations before classes are too!

What’s Happening At Westminster Abbey On May 6

On May 6th a new sovereign will be crowned in that same church as King Charles III. Join us for a look at the history of the British coronation ceremony and the surrounding pageantry.

Reader's Theater is a great way to shine the spotlight on the hidden actors in each of us! Monologues, dialogues, 1, 2, + 3 Act plays, famous scenes, familiar and funny scripts and a wonderful way to hear our own, and each other’s voices as we sit together, read our lines, mind our p's and cues, and prepare for a delightful experience in the magical world of play-acting.

Through the Lens of Behavioral Science
Instructor: Shai Robkin
This course explores emerging research into the underlying forces that drive individual and collective societal behaviors, focusing on the work of behavioral economists, social psychologists and neuroscientists. We’ll also examine what behavioral scientists have to say about some of the most important and often divisive issues of the day and their possible implications for public policy.

What's in the news today?
Join instructors, Marty Bennett and Mary Whitman for OLLI course, Issues in the News. Students will discuss political, economic, social and cultural issues in the news. Each week several major and enduring world, national and local issues will be thoroughly examined from multiple perspectives. Students can express themselves openly and confidently, and respectfully learn and understand the complexity of issues.
