Dear reader,

Welcome to this week’s edition of our newsletter.
On the face of it, China’s smartphone market seems to be languishing after reaching a peak in 2016. But just beneath the surface of shipment numbers, you will find a maturing market moving up the value chain and acing the revenue game, says Archie Zhang reporting the 2022 numbers for the market.
AI is the flavor of the season for the tech world right now. And closely following it is 5G and its use cases. So, what are the ways in which AI can make things easier for 5G networks? The huge amount of data collected can be used to train an effective algorithm, says Akash Jatwala listing out the applications.
We continue to remain bullish on PCs based on Arm architecture. Their market share will almost double from 14% now to 25% by 2027, says Brady Wang, adding Arm-based PC SoCs offer several advantages over x86 CPUs, like customizability, lower power consumption, and integrated AI and GPUs.
All this and much more in the news scroll below.
Happy reading and stay safe!
