I share with you the sad news that my father, Joe Clay Hamilton, died Tuesday morning in Anderson's Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. I am glad that I was able to be with him at that time as I had gone to allow my step-mother the opportunity to be with her grandchildren the day after Easter. My father was 94 years old and was able to move about on his own ability up to the time of his death. The funeral will be Friday at 11:00 A.M. in Meridian, and I will be going back Thursday afternoon to attend. I ask your indulgence at this time for any slow responses or potential lapses.
