Welcome to the April newsletter!

This is a special month as our Biennial Conference is about to take place in Lund, Sweden. Be sure to follow our hashtag #FRHLund2023 to not miss a thing. All the presentations will be recorded, so don't worry if you can't join us this time. You will be able to view them after the event.

With spring in full swing, it's time to know the European Capitals for Culture 2023. Read our feature article to find out why Timisoara is one of the 3 cities awarded with this important title this year.

Among our FRH news, you will find the Annual Review of the Foundation for Jewish Heritage, the two-day masterclass "UNESCO and the Politics of Religious Heritage" and the ENCATC Academy. We also bring you an interesting interview with Inge Basteleur from Groningen Kerken, the organisation that transformed the decaying Garmerwolde church into a successful "school" to learn about intercultural dialogue.

If you are looking for European grants and education opportunities, you can't miss the calls for the Culture Moves Europe travel scheme to host an international hertiage professional and the European Travel Commission Awards

We continue our interview series on the
European Year of Skills with organ makers Stefan Claessens and Victor Mangeol and our series of articles Young Voices in Heritage with a not-to-miss reflection on the participation of the youth in the sustainability of religious heritage.

We conclude this issue with a Religiana list of the top 10 religious heritage sites to visit in Lund.

See you next month!
