Solicitation for Nominations for Appointment to the Roane County Industrial Development Board (IDB)
The Roane County Industrial Development Board (IDB) is seeking nominations for 2 vacant seats on the board. The function of the IDB is to acquire, develop, lease, & sell property to facilitate new businesses locating to Roane County or assist businesses in expanding their operations. The board may also issue tax-exempt revenue bonds to assist in the financing of projects.
The Roane County IDB is governed by a 9 member Board of Directors, nominated by the IDB & confirmed by County Commission. Members serve for 6 years & in the event of a vacancy, an appointment may be made only for the unexpired portion of the term. Qualified candidates must have residency in Roane County. IDB meetings are held the 4th Monday of each month at 5pm at The Roane Alliance.
Nominations for appointment must be received no later than Friday, Apr. 21. All nominations must include a resume from the person that is interested in serving on the board. Nominations & resumes received after this time will not be considered for the current membership cycle.

Michael Dunn Foundation's 24th annual Golf Classic
Michael Dunn Center is currently looking for sponsors & players for their 24th annual Golf Classic tournament. The tournament will be held on May 8 with a 10am shotgun start at Avalon Country Club in Lenoir City. The tournament is $150 PP / $600 Team of 4.
