A Note from Pastor Dave

Greetings everyone! I hope that each of you have had a great week, On Sunday we begin Holy Week. I hope that you will join us for all of the services over these next days. They are always steeped in rich meaning.

I'll keep this note short as this has been a very busy week around St Mark.

SOUP SUPPERS-
I want to thank everyone who has helped out with the Fellowship Meals on Wednesday evenings during Lent.  The food and conversation have been great.

FUNERALS-
I want to thank everyone who has helped out with the Funerals over the past several weeks. Thanks to you, friends and family were able to gather together during these times of great loss.

OFFERING ENVELOPES
We were in contact with the Church Budget offering envelope company this past week. They told us our offering envelopes are in the process of being printed and shipped out.

SUNDAY
I hope to see you on Sunday in worship. This weekend we celebrate Palm Sunday. We will be processing with some beautiful palms, we will listen and participate in the Passion Story according to Matthew.

Here is a link to the bulletin so that you can see what is happening at St Mark, follow the worship service for this weekend, and to read the scriptures and prayers ahead of time.

Peace to you,

Pastor Dave Kebschull

VETS TOGETHER- Is an opportunity for veterans of the United States military branches to get together and talk. There is no agenda other than an opportunity for veterans of the United States military services to have a place to be with others who have had similar experiences and who are willing to receive and give encouragement to others. As veterans go through re-entry into civilian life they may experience, short and long term, challenges unique to veterans such as: PTSD; disabilities; reconnecting to family and friends; finding meaningful employment; and other struggles.  Vets Together meet on Wednesday evenings, 6:00 PM in room 128. The gatherings are open to all community  persons.  Please share this opportunity with friends.

DO YOU WANT TO RECEIVE OR STOP RECEIVING OFFERING ENVELOPES?
Four times a year offering envelopes are sent out to congregation members and friends to use to support the ministry of St Mark.  We are grateful for everyone who uses them, however if you do not wish to receive them because you give on-line or don’t use them, contact Jane Hartwell janehartwell@stmarkstormlake.comto have them discontinued. If you are not receiving envelopes at this time and would like to use them, you are also encouraged to contact Jane.  For those of you who have canceled your envelopes, you may still receive the second quarter because of the cut- off date. From then on you will not get them.  Thank you.
