Pen & Pixel - 2 April 2023

Queensland Writers Centre's weekly newsletter filled with news, events, competitions and opportunities for writers.

Following the announcement of our Adaptable 2022/23 shortlist our team have been busy meeting with many writers from all phases of the program.

Whether we're training our shortlisted writers ready for their pitches to producers at Gold Coast Film Festival, or chatting with program applicants to provide reader feedback in Feedback Sessions, it all comes down to that most joyous of things: coming together to discuss the craft of writing - and all the future possibilties that lie ahead.

And speaking of opportunities - Queensland Writers Centre has a packed program of writing events in store for you up ahead.

Whether you're writing for children, perfecting your poetic craft, getting started with scriptwriting for screen and stage, or working out how to tell an important story, we've got plenty of workshops and courses with great Australian writers for you to learn from, get inspired, and make connections.
