Dear Parents,
For 3rd-8th grade students, we will be starting State CMAS testing on Monday. Please make sure to get plenty of rest and begin the day with a healthy breakfast. CMAS tests will help us ensure your child is placed in the correct classes next year and provide insight into their performance as compared to the rest of the students in Colorado. We also use this assessment information to identify trends as a school and make necessary adjustments. Your support is appreciated.
We had an exciting week with several field trips to the Denver Zoo. As part of our Innovation program, students learn about different animal adaptations and other environmental factors as part of their unit on land. We had lots of compliments about the behavior of our students. We had our first track meet of the season and students enjoyed a lot of success. We are excited to host the Robotics Invitational on Saturday to help hone our teams hone their skills for Worlds and next season.
For elementary parents, please take the time to complete the class placement form below if you would like to provide input about teacher assignments for next year. Remember we do not take specific teacher requests, but would like your input about the best kind of learning environment or you feel your child needs to be separated from another student.
It is a pleasure working with your children. Please let us know if you need assistance or have questions.
Best wishes,
Cyrus Weinberger, Principal
Meghan Quirk, Assistant Principal
Krystal Trinkler, Dean
Rick Olsen, Dean

If you would like to provide information on your student and their learning environment for consideration in classroom placement, please take a moment to fill out our student placement survey for next year: Placement Survey This form will be open through Monday, April 24th.
We do not take requests for specific teachers; however, your input does carry significant weight and will help to ensure we find a good match for your child. Placements are based on a variety of factors including: student need, balanced classes, and input from parents and teachers. As we begin to place students in classes for next year, it would be helpful for you to describe the learning needs of your child. Is there anything you would like the school to know about how your child learns or any special circumstance we should be aware of?
Thank you for providing this information. Please call the school if you have any questions.
