SUPRA support trans and non-binary postgrads

Over the past few weeks in Sydney, there have been a number of far-right protests targeting transgender and gender diverse people. SUPRA stands with trans, transgender and non-binary students against the vilification of trans and non-binary people. Trans people are real and trans identities are valid.

If you are a trans or non-binary student and your studies are being affected, you can contact a SUPRA caseworker for advice. If you’re experiencing distress and would like someone to talk to, QLife provides free phone and online counselling 3pm – midnight, every day. If you want to connect with other queer and trans postgrads and fight for your rights at Usyd and beyond, you can join SUPRA’s Queer Equity Network.

External interests, conflicts of interest, and your research

The activities and relationships you have outside the organisations where you work and study are considered 'external interests'. Find out how to manage your external interests and what they mean for your research.

If you’re concerned about your external interests or conflicts of interest, get advice from one of our caseworkers.
Fun Fact
