Happy April!
We have some exciting news to share with you about this year’s Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival - coming up in just a month on May 6-7. We have more space! With a second booth space, we’ll be able to bring more of the yarns you love. We’re busy dyeing up a storm now for the festival. | | | Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who came out to visit at Yarn Store Boutique in Spring, TX, and YarnCon in Chicago, IL.
Our next trunk show is at The Blue Purl in Madison, NJ April 21-May 1 - more info about this one in our next newsletter! | | | Knit as you Area Mystery Knitalong with SweaterFreak
Last year’s mystery knitalong, In the Moment, concentrated on living in the present and concentrating on what’s happening right now as opposed to worrying about the future.
This year, SweaterFreak’s objective was to seek more of that happy zen and she wanted to create a wrap that’s used more of her favorite elements - so Knit As You Are was born!
Similarly to the previous MKALs, this wrap will be modern and fun to knit. However, it’s not a stitch sampler type of a mystery knit so, if you are expecting new stitch every 5 rows, this isn’t that! There are some relaxing clues and some more fun and involved ones.
The first clue drops on April 24 and the pattern is available now at a pre-cast-on discount.
We have a great variety of Dynamic Duos ready for Knit As You Are - specifically created with this project in mind, featuring two skeins of a lighter colorway and one skein of a darker colorway. Of course, we’re also always happy to help you choose your own color combination! | | | Yarn and Chat Tomorrow
Join us for a friendly Friday afternoon hang out. Knit, crochet, show off your latest project, ask some questions, meet new folks. This is open to anyone who’d like to join, just bring your project and maybe a snack and we’ll be there.
Alternate Fridays on Zoom, from 3-4:15 PM Eastern time. Click here to register for the Zoom. | | | Velvety Air Wrap
Jenny F (sweaterfreak)’s Velvety Air Wrap was the final design of 2022’s Inspired Adventures Club, and is now available to all! This parallelogram-shaped wrap features geometric mosaic patterning over a shifting gradient background with airy double-wrapped stitches for lots of graphic and textural interest. We worked together to develop two new Gradient Sets, below, inspired by the landscapes and flora of the Mojave Desert - we think either is a fantastic choice for this project. These had sold out but now we’re caught up on our pre-orders and the sets are ready to ship. | | | | Kunlun
One of our featured yarns for April is Kunlun, a luxurious DK-weight blend of merino wool, cashmere, and silk. We hope you’ll give it a try!
Kunlun is plush, round, and luxurious, with a velvety sheen from the silk and wonderful softness from the cashmere. Kunlun is great for all kinds of accessories or a special sweater project. Browse some Kunlun pattern suggestions on our Project Gallery. | | Back in Stock
We’ve got more great notions tins from Firefly and more assorted sheep dryer balls! | | | New Designs in Miss Babs Yarns | | Ganesa by Denise Hebner
Ganesa is knit in the round from the top down to yield a seamless raglan sweater. The striped design uses four colors that are held together in different combinations. The body hem is split for style and fit, and the relaxed sleeves finish with ribbing that is extended to allow the sleeves to billow or fold for a more traditional fit.
Ganesa is knit in 4 shades of Yummy 2-Ply held double, shown here in Ebony, Moonscape, Quicksilver, and Dunes. The pattern is available on Ravelry. Save 30% until April 14 on this pattern using GRATEFUL30 at checkout. |
