The Hardy Plant Society awarded us with $690 grant for Harriet Wetherill Park!
Colonial Canopy Trees
We received a grant for a restoration
project at Harriet Wetherill Park!
We are very grateful that the Hardy Plant Society Mid-Atlantic Group has awarded us with a $690 grant to remove a dense patch of invasive Norway maples, and replace them with 30 native trees.
We will be planting the new trees at Harriet Wetherill Park this Saturday, April 8th, from 9:30AM - 12PM noon.
We'd love to see you there! Sign up by clicking here.
Spring Ephemerals
Within the old wooded section where we'll be planting, there are some species of native spring ephemeral wildflowers. This is the only place that we know of in Plymouth Township where this plant, bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis), grows in the wild.
